Nominations are requested, to recognize a dedicated officer, a unique enforcement strategy, an outstanding program or person that has had success in reducing drunk or impaired driving. For details and forms, see announcement.

New York's STOP-DWI Campaign "Over the Limit, Under Arrest"
Law enforcement officers from around New York are again participating in the annual national initiative against DWI during one of the most deadly driving periods of the year - Labor Day. New York's campaign is conducted in tandem with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's "Over the Limit, Under Arrest" campaign from August 15 - September 1.

The Occupant Protection for NYS Law Enforcement roll-call training video is available to all Buckle Up New York grantees. For those agencies that require a copy as a condition of BUNY grant funding, this video can be obtained free of charge by contacting the GTSC at (518) 474-5111.

Use this form to enter your Buckle Up New York (BUNY) mobilization activity report. This is an on-line, web-based report. Submit this form on-line. Do not submit by fax or mail.
- The May 2008 mobilization dates are May 19 - June 1, 2008. GTSC grantees are required to submit this on-line report by June 20, 2008.
- All grantees are required to submit this report. Vouchers may not be honored without timely submission.
- All police departments in New York State who participated without grant funding are encouraged to submit this report.

DRE Recertification Training
This is for certified DRE's only.
As specified in section III of the International Standards of the Drug Evaluation and Classification Program, all drug recognition experts must recertified every two years following original certification.
The New York Standards have added to section III that every DRE must attend eight hours of certified training every year. Certified training means training approved by the State Coordinators office.
